Kenya Airways donates Boeing plane to Mangu High School

- The former aircraft is being converted into a hands-on training facility, augmenting the practical aviation education provided to students at Mang’u.

Dignitaries in attendance at the plane's donation event included Archbishop Rev. Philip Anyolo, Mang’u Principal John Kuria, Nation Media Group Chair Wilfred Kiboro, and Kenya Airways Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer Hellen Mathuka.
The student body at Mang’u was visibly thrilled as the aircraft was unveiled as part of the school's long history of academic and aviation excellence.
"This aircraft, once a frequent flyer, is now taking on a new role, serving as a valuable teaching tool to inspire and empower future pilots, aerospace engineers, and inventors," said Hellen Mathuka in her speech.
Transportation of Boeing 737
The Boeing 737 aircraft, transported from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport via the Eastern Bypass and Thika Road, will serve as a hands-on training facility for aviation students.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution during the morning transportation of the irregular cargo.
